One of them is at the top of Mount Kelimutu, namely Lake Kelimutu. Lake Kelimutu is often also called the Three Color Lake, because this lake has three different colors.

Uniquely the color of the lake's water changes with time. The uniqueness of the color is what makes the tourists visit this tourist attraction. Kelimutu itself is a combination of the words "keli" which means mountain, and "quality" which means boiling. This lake is located in Pemo Village, Kelimutu District, Ende Regency, NTT. To reach this lake, tourists must travel about 45 km from Ende or 13 km from Kampung Moni. To enjoy the beauty of the lake, tourists only pay a fee of Rp. 2,000.

In addition to the natural beauty that makes admiration for anyone who sees it, the Three Colors Lake is also still closely associated with legends that are trusted by the local community. According to the beliefs of local residents, the colors of the lake have their respective meanings and have very powerful natural forces. "

"KOMPAS.com - Pulau Flores di Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) memiliki beberapa tempat wisata yang menarik dikunjungi para wisatawan. Banyak sekali keindahan alam yang menakjubkan di pulau ini. Salah satunya berada di puncak Gunung Kelimutu, yakni Danau Kelimutu. Danau Kelimutu sering juga disebut dengan Danau Tiga Warna, karena danau ini memiliki tiga warna yang berbeda. 

Uniknya warna air danau tersebut berubah-ubah seiring waktu berjalan. Keunikan warna itulah yang membuat para wisatawan mengunjungi obyek wisata ini. Kelimutu sendiri merupakan gabungan dari kata “keli” yang berarti gunung, dan “mutu” yang berarti mendidih. Danau ini terletak di Desa Pemo, Kecamatan Kelimutu, Kabupaten Ende, NTT. Untuk mencapai danau ini, wisatawan harus menempuh perjalanan sekitar 45 km dari Ende atau 13 km dari Kampung Moni. Untuk menikmati indahnya danau tersebut, wisatawan hanya membayar retribusi sebesar Rp 2.000. 

Jalan masuk menuju tepi danau berupa anak tangga dan jalan bebatuan ditempuh dengan berjalan kaki. Waktu paling baik untuk mengunjungi Danau Tiga Warna adalah pagi hari. Selain keindahan alam yang membuat decak kagum siapa pun yang melihatnya, Danau Tiga Warna juga sampai saat ini masih lekat dengan legenda yang dipercaya oleh masyarakat setempat. Menurut kepercayaan penduduk setempat, warna-warni danau ini memiliki arti masing-masing dan memiliki kekuatan alam yang sangat dahsyat."
